Home on the Range

Camp in Kandanga
Oh give me a home
Where the buffalo roam
Where the deer and the antelope play
Where seldom is heard
A discouraging word
And the skies are not cloudy all day.
Home, home on the range.....
                     (Sung by many)

Meandering around the byways
We dusted off the dirt
Little towns abound frequently
I need a cleaner shirt.
The Blackall Ranges a favourite
No more happy campers are we
We morphed into tourists
But that's okay by me.

Borumba Dam Imbil

We traveled not far throughout the week
To see such beautiful sights
The friendly town folk had all the time
To show off their country delights.
Pure country it was
Rewarding it is
To wander about aimlessly
For when the holiday's done
And we're back on the job
We'll remember it favourably.
Careful where you park your car at Kandanga

Kandanga historic pub

Of course we checked out the bowls club

I thought I saw a pussy cat.
I did!
I did!
When this old world starts getting you down
And people are just too much for me to face
I snooze away on top of the car
And all my cares just drift right into space.
(We woke this puss up but he was very gracious. All he wanted was a cuddle.)
Sit on the verandah
Have a beer
Watch the world go by.
Stay til the sun sets
Gaze at the stars
As they light up the dark night sky.

Turning left before the bridge
We checked out the bowling green.
Two members were there
And welcomed us well
Warm hospitality routine.

Sharing stories of family
Achievements and struggles endured
Devastating floods
Politicians slammed
Community spirit assured.

A hard earned thirst

The little town of Kenilworth is a pretty RV friendly town. Lovely hot showers and a welcoming smile from community members who help keep the facility going. A big thank you.
Montville the absolute favourite. Best coffee!
Maleny, also, RV friendly.
Once visited, many returns assured...lost count of my visits.
