Like a big-a pizza pie
That's amore!
Dean Martin
The moon was large and glowing
The stars a million-fold
But down at Amamoor
The nights were jolly cold.
The sounds of children's laughter
Echoed through the valley floor
When we popped the roof to stay a while
But soon they were no more.
The weekend all but finished
The campers up and left
We looked around astonished
The campground was bereft.
Long shadows crept upon us
Eerie silence filled the air
Imagination kicked in
I saw ol' grizzly bear.
By crickey Bill, we're all alone
No one knows we're here
The mobile phone has gone dead
We're doomed for sure I fear.
Headlights loomed and cruised in slow
Tyres crunching on the dirt
Behind a bush it stopped and sat
Rendering me inert.
But strength kicks in and caution rides
The power of human stealth
He went at last, thank goodness dear
The tale we live to tell.
